COMPASS - SR. BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST
Relevant Work Experience:: 5+ to 7 Years Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Description:Compass is an enterprise-wide initiative to implement a single set of patient administrative systems and revenue cycle processes across the Partners HealthCare System. Compass will enable all of our entities to share common patient administrative information systems. The Sr. Business and Systems Analyst(BSA) position is one of a team of BSAs responsible for executing workplan tasks to ensure successful process design, build, implementation, and post implementation activities within the Patient Access components of the Revenue Cycle. The Sr. BSA will interface with both business and technical users, translating needs and requirements for the two groups for one or many of the inpatient, outpatient, and clinical support service operational areas. Responsibilities include to develop a team specific workplan, manage the workplan, develop team plans, as well as identify and manage issues for functional processes such as Patient Index, Registration, Scheduling, Financial Authorization, and Check-in/Check-out. Responsible for working with entity functional and operational workgroups, vet decisions and develop recommendations to be reviewed and approved through the project's corporate design structure. Working closely with other BSAs, and responsible for coordinating dependencies and ensuring seamless hand-offs between groups. Acting as the application expert for the team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Understand Partner's business requirements, and recommends solutions Understand the scope and business needs of both the Project and Entity Teams functional and/or operational areasParticipate in developing functional requirements, testing, training, and implementation of processes and technology Gather business requirements using audience appropriate analytical techniques including surveys, site visits, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis. Translates business requirements to system requirements Work with end-users, project workgroups, and peers in planning, developing and implementing business process changes and technical enablers that will support the corporate designIdentify gaps between corporate design and current state processes, work with teams to identify where the gaps must be filled and the appropriate process for filling the gaps prior to implementationFacilitate standing and ad hoc workgroups, drive workgroups to evaluate a corporate design decision and/or develop a recommendation for review by the corporate design counselFacilitate team meetings with respect to brainstorming, issue identification and resolution, etc.Complete analyses for the corporate design counsel, collect and understand necessary data to help identify possible pros and cons of different recommendationsDrive user workgroups and teams toward development and implementation of standard patient administrative processes for various functions Assist with supporting new process and system implementation, ensure a successful go-live, as well as development of new operating support modelCreate deliverables in a timely manner according to quality and compliance standardsAssist with measuring and monitoring team progress at clearly defined points to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectationsAssist with developing, implementing and maintaining a detailed team specific project planAssist with ensuring that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team membersAssist in responding to urgent ad hoc and routine requests to meet the information requirements of senior management, Board of Directors, and external agencies and organizations for critical financial or operational decisionsAct as a change agent, facilitate Compass Change Management and Communication efforts. This may include facilitating meetings, conducting presentations, and one-on-one interactionsQualifications:Bachelors Degree required.
