Ultimately, this position in located on Andros Island, Bahamas. Responsible for the evaluation, processing, administering, expediting, placing/faxing/closing out of purchase orders and the processing of receivers of purchase orders in support of the ARA retail facilities. Essential Job Functions Process weekly orders i.e. bread, milk groceries and produce. Make travel arrangements for vendors to/from Andros Island facility. Acquire new catalogs and update price lists. Prepare ARA files for payment by the West Palm Beach Finance Department. Retain copies of invoices to file with appropriate purchase orders for closeout. Develop and manage an effective supplier base. Promote partnerships with customer/suppliers. Identify and implement savings opportunities. Continuously monitor supplier capacity, technical expertise, quality, delivery performance and financial stability in order to make effective procurement decisions. Analyze requirements, cost and price data to negotiate fair and reasonable prices, delivery and terms. Process purchase orders/blanket purchase agreements in a timely manner and in accordance with CSC purchasing procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Associates degree in a related field or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Three (3) years related experience working in a retail procurement environment. Experience with computerized purchasing system also required Valid Drivers License and passport will be required.Must meet eligibility to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance. Other Qualifications Must be detail orientated, organized and task orientated for process administration. Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team to coordinate activities between vendors/suppliers and AUTEC personnel. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word. Excellent oral and written communication skills Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
