Business Systems Analyst III

Position Summary:The successful candidate must have good working knowledge of ITIL and its Service Support and Service Delivery focus areas with emphasis on Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Service Level Management. The successful candidate also needs to be dynamic and business focused and does not have to be ultra technical, but understands BMC Remedy Atrium/ITSM and how to translate workflow into requirements and translate those requirements to the technical team. Also, needs to be capable of driving and managing meetings. The Candidate will focus on analysis, design and implementation of large-scale enterprise network management initiatives.Essential Job Functions:Primary Functions: Familiarity and experience with BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite is preferred. This includes the following applications BMC Remedy Service Desk BMC Remedy Asset Management BMC Remedy Change Management BMC Remedy Service Level Management Familiarity and experience with BMC Atrium CMDB is preferred. Also, an understanding of Definitive Software Library and its function within the CMDB is needed. Apply hands-on experience in configuration and management of Enterprise Technology Management toolsets. Develop suggestions for how to best execute on assigned tasks and communicates those with manager/technical lead. Apply interpersonal skills to communicate with both technical and business oriented individuals. Develop clear and concise written documents that are accurate in technical content. Research options and make appropriate recommendations for solving technical and non-technical problems within associated assigned tasks. Own and manage assigned tasks and promptly seek new tasking when current tasks are completed. Offer well-formed methods for completing assigned tasks and see them through to completion. Secondary Functions: Begin to develop working relationships with clients as a trusted advisor. Clearly understand project goals and objectives, and focus on meeting them. Post working documents, deliverables, individual status reports and client provided documentation. from assigned tasks to company knowledge repository. Share information at the appropriate level of detail in a timely manner in the appropriate forum. The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as a member of a larger team with minimal direct supervision and may be required to oversee the work of others.Minimum Position Requirements:Degree in CS, EE or related MIS field preferred as well as training on the BMC Remedy/ITSM application. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience required. A high degree of interpersonal skill in working with various levels of technical and business oriented individuals is required. Prior experience in a consulting environment is preferred.
