Business Systems Analyst

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will want to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment where he or she works closely with our internal and external clients. Some of the high level responsibilities the candidate will be responsible for while working with our client and CGI team;



The Business Systems Analyst will:



• Develop Business Requirement Documentation for multiple projects

• Involved in preparing System Requirements Specifications and System Design Specification Documents

• Attend and document the necessary meetings to determine the exact requirements, and may be involved in scheduling and / or conducting SRS and SDS walkthroughs

• Participates in management meetings and conferences as required

• Obtain client sign-off



The successful candidate will have general IT experience including hands on work terms as a Business or Systems Analyst or as a developer in a Software development environment.



Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelors/College Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Co-op experience would be an asset.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, outgoing personality is a nice to have

• Excellent organization and communication skills

• Excellent problem solving skills in a technical environment

• Able to communicate business information to various levels of management

• Good English written and verbal communication skills, with a desire to write technical documents

• Ability / Confidence to take control of meetings

• Ability to work under (meet) tight deadlines

• Business Objectives and Needs Analysis

• Technical Writing

• Good Analytical skills

• Business and/or Systems Analysis

• Intermediate to Senior level experience in using UML 2.0
