A Technical Writer with emphasis on Business Process Analysis who is needed for a full time opportunity in Irvine, CA for a leading provider of highly integrated semiconductor solutions that enable broadband communications and networking of voice, video and data services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for writing procedures, creating process flowcharts, and maintaining online documentation. Easily adapt to very diverse type of writing projects which may include the following:User GuidesFlowcharts (Intermediate to Expert)Functional Specs Reference Manuals Online Guides Help Systems Quick Start Guides Training Materials Policy and Procedure Manuals Installation Guides Troubleshooting Guides Getting Started Guides Implementation Guides Administrator's Guides
Job Qualifications:Bachelor of Arts degree in English or equivalent. 1-3 years of relevant professional experience as a technical writer/business process analyst Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. This will involve extensive flowcharts in Visio.Researches and analyzes basic and complex issues surrounding the processes and systems of an organization. Makes recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency and practices. This will involve extensive flowcharts in Visio.Skills in business and technical drawing software such as Visio or similar. Experience with Adobe FrameMaker and Dreamweaver Good writing skills, attention to details, and know HTML. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Excellent interview and follow through skills Excel at diverse activities. Possess superb organizational skills and the ability to work independently with several technical teams within a fast-paced environment. Experience in computer, communications/networking or software industry. Local candidates only.
