Business Intelligence Analyst

BetterTrades is looking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst/Leader- responsible for the collection, analysis and distribution of data supporting all critical business functions in a B2C environment.

The successful Business Intelligence Leader will be technology-savvy and have extensive experience in online marketing and know the value of analytics in driving web strategies.

The position is accountable for the creation and delivery of both standard and ad-hoc reports, as well as the implementation of strategic, analytical analyses to support the continual improvement of the organization’s consumption of critical data. The role is essential in guiding various departments in analyzing data to monitor the health of the business, identify business trends and aid in making strategic decisions

The position requires a data specialist with a strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, Webtrends, Clicktracks, Dart for Advertisers and Omniture. You will use this experience to optimize campaign performance and provide feedback to our creative development team.

 You need to be able to articulate the advantages and disadvantages of buying media on a CPM, CPC, CPA and CPC basis and determine the optimal media mix for BetterTrades.

 We will rely on your extensive experience and judgment to develop, plan and accomplish goals to budget and objective. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 Gather and Analyze the following on daily basis:

1)  Traffic to the website

2)  Different sources driving the traffic

3)  Funnel conversion numbers

4)  Paid campaign numbers

5)  Keyword ranking report

 

 Analyze all aspects of Online Marketing programs and provide recommendations to improve performance; build and manage predictive models as neededManage tracking and reporting across Online Marketing and provide management reports and insightsManage weekly forecasting and budget reporting Develop and support analytic tools used by other members of the Online Marketing teamBuild automated reports and ensure accurate tracking and reportingCollaborate with our IT team as required to improve data collection and web-based trackingHelp develop variance or regression analyses that provide insight into best practices for media planning and creative optimization for banners, text ads, landing pages, and other Online Marketing strategiesMonitor competitive landscape and industry trends, research third party competitive data, and constantly review the marketplace for new marketing opportunitiesPerform various analytics projects to support the Online Marketing teamWork with Marketing and business units to create and present web traffic analytic reports for the various BetterTrades properties, specifically Key Performance Indicators.Assist Marketing and business units in establishing testing procedures and benchmarks for A/B testing, site upgrades, feature development, and redesigns.Establish routines and systematic approaches to handle a variety of requests for web analysis data from the different BetterTrades web properties.Actively participate with Marketing and business units in the development and maintenance of site map and information architecture for the web properties of BetterTrades.

 

Qualifications:Proven leadership and innovation in online media strategy 5+ years online BI reporting experience with 4+ years experience in campaign optimization and analytics. Proven disciplined data management skills. Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining high-performance, scalable analytical business intelligence applications Experience in designing and architecting BI solutions with MySQL Experience supporting large production databases Extensive experience in requirements gathering, testing and advanced use of reporting applications Ability to work effectively with users in gathering and interpreting user requirements - Flawless accuracy and attention to detail Robust communication skills and ability to publicly present ideas and share information Ability to manage and prioritize the needs of multiple internal customers and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus Excellent communication skills and team player Prior project management experience a plus Experience managing traffic/revenue data and analysis in a b2c environment
