Sales/Retail/Business Development Reference Id: ZYC186E2003E77 Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Contact Info: Apply by Email Business Development Representative/OV Specialist Job Summary As a business development representative, the position will focus on identifying OV/OVS-specific business opportunities in the channel and pursuing them. The position will be responsible for growth of OV and OVS (Open Value and Open Value Subscription). OV and OVS growth goals will be based on SYNNEX business objectives and vendor expectation of performance. The position will require the candidate to act as an advocate/evangelist for Open Value and Open Value Subscription both internally and externally. The position will also be responsible for fostering dynamic relationships with new and existing customers with an aim towards growth of these accounts primarily in OV/OVS but in other strategic areas as well-as needed. The Microsoft OV/OVS Business Development Representative will be responsible for creating and executing OV/OVS-specific business plans, training reps, providing support to the Microsoft team and sales organization, making presentations to customers, and occasionally traveling to industry events. This role is crucial to the continued success of the Microsoft team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Lead all Microsoft OV/OVS marketing and sales efforts to reseller customers and vendor partners. Develops and maintains marketing and sales programs required to achieve desired penetration and achievement of quotas. Seeks out and manages OV/OVS –related opportunities and associated customer relationships Maintains and tracks the revenue and profitability of OV/OVS portfolio relative to SYNNEX goals. Develops and/or delivers OV/OVS training and presentations to internal and external audiences. Assists sales force in growing and managing OV/OVS opportunities. Minimum Job Requirements College degree (BA or BS) in Business Administration from an accredited college or university with a minimum of four years of related industry/business development experience or equivalent combination of skills, education and experience Demonstrated proficiency with business development and sales principles, concepts and practices. Demonstrated communication skills Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of vendor programs Organizational and planning skills. Project management skills. Presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Attention to detail. Ability to work with numbers The discipline and drive to aggressively pursue business opportunities with an eye for growth. The ability to work in a diverse, dynamic work environment The ability to work a flexible work schedule. Assesses overall responsiveness to the customer base Maintains quotas based on assigned goals Reviews and monitors customer lists for opportunities Strong business ethics orientation Meeting phone requirement of 4-6 hours per day; 35 outbound contacts or calls with customers Results may not be immediate (within a month), but more long-term.Decisions and Judgment Monitors customer counts within US Participates in the development of a business plan to decide what is the best approach to use money, resources and tools for each business deal (i.e. number of customer visits, type and level of presentation, travel to customer sites. Consults Microsoft team on a regular basis for day to day guidance on assigned goals and unique opportunities. Learns more about the company's strategic initiatives and existing programs and how each department can add value to the business proposal. Develops and follows business growth strategies Internal/External Interfaces Talk with vendors, sales team and customers on a regular basis to discuss issues and close business. Acts as liaison with Product Managers, and support sales staff Do joint calls and visits with sales reps Develop confidence, trust and respect from the sales and product management teamEssential Mental Functions Work in a fast-paced environment where there are multiple demands and constant deadlines Position has aggressive sales productivity goals High drive to succeed in a competitive environment Have the ability to act as a business program evangelist on a quasi-daily basisEssential Physical Functions Keying data to computer (manual dexterity)- 6+ hours a day (continuous sitting) Frequent to continuous use of hands, manual dexterity involved and phone usage Standing –occasional to frequent (may be up to 3 hours a day) Bending and kneeling-occasional Carrying and Lifting-occasional up to 50 pounds (3-4 times a week) Tools, Materials and Equipment Used Standard office equipment, including but not limited to computer, phone, fax, copy machine, printer Standard operating procedures Interested candidates please email your resume to recruiting@synnex.com .
