Business Development Manager (w/ DoD exp.)
We have an immediate opening for a talented Business Development Manager to help grow and diversify our professional services business. Candidates must have a successful track record of developing and winning new business in Government sector( specifically within DoD). Successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing Amyx’s business development initiatives for identified strategic business areas. Candidate will work closely with Amyx’s marketing, technology, proposal development and Program Operations to identify, qualify, position for, compete for and ultimately close new business.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years identifying, qualifying and capturing new, add-on and follow-on business in the Program Management/Acquisition Support, Information Technology, solutions integration domain to the Federal Market. Emphasis is on services, not products.Experience in Business Development with practices such as Program Integration, Program & Project Management, Supply Chain Information Management, Enterprise Architecture Services, and Business Process Improvement etc.Leads and manages business development efforts from the Interest Phase through the Proposal and Post Proposal phases.Creativity in crafting compelling selling points, win themes, and demonstrating company’s unique value to customers.Track record of creating and managing a credible business development pipeline, identifying business opportunities early on (Pre-RFP), executing effective teaming, partnerships and alliances and implementing winning capture strategies.History of long-term, positive relationships, with US Government customers.Proven ability to build on existing accounts and contracts.Understanding of Federal Government budgeting process.Lead Bid/No Bid decisions and proposal efforts for targeted opportunities.Coordinates proposed actions with Program Operations to help ensure fulfillment of promises made within the proposal. Accordingly keeps Program Operations inputs as a primary consideration of the screening, bid-no bid, proposal, and execution processes.Experience leading and managing Proposal development efforts in the Department of Defense and other Federal Markets.Experience developing and assembling winning teams for targeted opportunities.Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and related procurement regulations.Excellent time management skills and ability to work under minimal supervisionAbility to qualify work based on company competencies and potential teaming opportunities.Proven track record of winning Federal services contracts in the range of $1M & 10+M in both prime as well as subcontractor/partner roles.
