Business Continuity Manager

Seeking an experienced individual to coordinate the development and execution of IT Business Continuity initiatives. Candidates will possess significant experience with Business Continuity programs for mid-to-large scale organizations and have previous experience in developing all business continuity planning processes and requirements, manage multiple projects in the areas of contingency management, crisis management and business continuity, utilize well-rounded Business Operations knowledge, and provide assistance in developing and maintaining the direction and integrity of business continuity plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, coordinates and maintains the business continuity program. This includes development of overall methodology and recovery group structure.

Works with District business unit recovery teams to insure that plans incorporate all elements required for successful execution during a business interruption. On an ongoing basis works with IT  teams to review, revise and implement changes needed to keep the plans current.

Plays a critical role in responding to a business interruption and will lead the recovery effort.

Chairs IT Business Continuity Steering Committee. Provides regular updates to the group on the status of the overall program and utilizes the committee to review and implement modifications to the program.

Plans, schedules and coordinates IT exercises to test alternate site recovery, command center operations, crisis
management and emergency notifications in order to assess the firm’s readiness to respond to an event.

Responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of district-wide Business Impact Analysis processes, including scope and objective of recovery strategies on a business unit by business unit basis.

Initiates and manages updates to IT planning documentation, maintains appropriate tracking mechanisms. Documents and addresses deficiencies as noted by IT recovery teams or Internal Audit.

Works closely with all IT department to ensure technical alignment of Business Continuity plans.

Trains associates in crisis management and restoration of operations. Works closely with Facilities team to support evacuation planning and life safety education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelors Degree or relevant work related experience

7 years in technology related positions

5 years Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (management level)
