Business Consultant Specialist (Quality)
JOB SUMMARY: The National Clinical Applications Group (CAG) under the National KPIT Care Delivery BIO - Clinical Applications Group (CAG) works across multiple functional areas within the team, leveraging his/her skills, experience and expertise. The National Clinical Application Coordinator (AC) is responsible for working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with various national and regional teams and work groups to accomplish organizational, programmatic and team goals. This role serves as a bridge to both national and regional team members, other legacy system teams, and end users. This role will work collaboratively Quality/CMI ACAC and to help leverage and involve other clinical ACs based on their area of expertise. Although one of the primary focuses of this role is the clinical applications, he/she must be skilled at partnering and collaborating across the application suites, including both clinical and non-clinical and both Epic and non-Epic applications to meet business and operational goals.Although this position reports to National KPIT Care Delivery BIO - Clinical Applications Group (CAG), there is dotted line reporting responsibility to the Sr. Director 21st Century Care KFHP Department of Quality and Service, Program OfficeThe role of the national AC varies widely. Some of these responsibilities include, but not limited to: Facilitate and assist with design, configuration and maintenance of clinical applications Facilitate integration of clinical application(s) with other Epic and non-Epic applications Collaborate with the CMT team to ensure complete and accurate content is built into the application database Build and maintain collaborative records and configuration settings for database Master Files, Category Lists and Pick lists Document and coordinate changes to database Master Files, Category Lists and Pick Lists with inter-regional sub-teams and other national teams for shared files Evaluate and analyze new functionality for clinical application build level designations Identify opportunities where the Clinical Applications Group can support key business initiatives (streamline business process, improve member satisfaction and support compliance and regulatory requirements) Participate in business process redesign efforts Participate in issue resolution efforts Collaborate with appropriate regional, inter-regional and national stakeholders Participate in change request management, evaluate and coordinate regional and national change requests Evaluate Epics annual software releases to identify key new functionality both for collaborative implementation as well as regional consideration and determine best methodology for sharing finding with regions Additional responsibilities specifically related to Quality include but not limited to; Serve as liaison from National KPIT Care Delivery BIO - Clinical Applications Group (CAG) to Program Office Quality and CMI Departments Provides clinical application expertise to the Q/CMI Departments on a routine and ad hoc basis Provides information and/or the linkage to regional workflows/configuration on key workflows identified by the Department Serve as liaison to other application coordinators, i.e. MyChart, Cadence, Tapestry, CMT, etc. in coordination National KPIT Care Delivery BIO - Clinical Applications Group (CAG) management and leadershipKEY RELATIONSHIPS Key interfaces include other KPIT Care Delivery BIO Groups, Epic personnel, regional leaders, regional KPIT and business teams, physician leaders, clinical leaders, project managers, line managers and supervisors, front line employees including clinical staff. Function as a strong team player willing to partner and engage with other functional units to deliver substantive, business value to the operations Proficient in customer & client relations including team focus, influence, partnership and collaboration Ability to work with and establish relationships with virtual national and regional team membersKNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS & JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE Knowledge, skills and experience required for this role include; Lead, facilitate and manage national strategic projects, as appropriate Collaborate with national and regional partners including leadership teams on work assignments including regional initiatives Posses strong detailed analytical thinking, problem solving and results oriented skills Address and analyze issues, provide recommendations for resolution and complete work to resolve Escalate issues when necessary to mitigate problems In partnership with national and regional partners Knowledge and ability to manage issue analysis and problem resolution Epic application experience and/or background in healthcare applications are a plus Experience working in a large, complex or national environment preferred Ability to grow and develop high performance teams that are geographically dispersed within a matrixed organization. Experience is required in clinical care delivery and heath care operations required Ability and willingness to mentor peer and mid-level managers required Positive influencing and developing cross-functional relationships required Excellent conceptual skills and background in negotiating commitments to achieve long-term partnerships and results is required.
