Business Application Specialist

If this describes you, you'll want to learn more about the Business Application specialist role.Overall responsibilities include: Serve as initial point of contact for questions and problems on Fixed Income applications Log all incidents received via phone and emails in Remedy/ITSM Accurately categorize and prioritize issues Ensure service levels for issue escalation and resolution are met Log all work performed and resolution details in Remedy/ITSM Provide timely updates on the status of non-closed issues to the affected parties. Communicate issue resolution details and root cause information to affected parties upon closure of issue making sure to use verbiage appropriate for the intended audience.* Add issue detail and resolution info to the Fixed Income Sales & Research knowledge baseSkills Required: Previous support experience Essential SQL and database knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical parties, and provide the business and management with concise updates regarding issues Ability to work in high-pressure situations and flexibility Ability to work independently and in a team Organized and good time management Analytical and systematic problem solving skills Visual Basic Ability to prioritize efficiently Good time management skill Ability to multi-taskDesired Skills: ITIL knowledge Demonstrate ability to document and deliver on project related work UNIX XML Understanding of batch schedulers (e.g. Control M) Understanding of excel pivot tables and excel report buildingWORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND Min of 3 years IT experience Experience working in a support environmentEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Collegiate degree (BA/BS or above) preferredEmail your resumePlease click here,or copy and paste the following link into your email browser, to email your resume.
