RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
Works independently or as a member of a team on information system consulting projects for healthcare organizations.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
Provides prompt, courteous, and quality service to external and internal customers at all times.
Communicates effectively through written and oral means.
Facilitates communication between client and consultants.
Capable of leading small projects by planning and organizing tasks, identifying and solving problems.
Works with client management and staff to analyze, specify, design, and document business applications and systems.
Participates in project management activities by developing project events and resource projections, tracking project progress, recommending project modifications, and updating project plans.
Capable of developing and conducting high-level to system-specific training programs.
Develops, writes, debugs, documents, and implements programs according to program specifications within allotted time frame.
Provides network management and/or performs system administration activities ranging from systems access, operations, security, and performance monitoring to database administration.
Develops or reviews testing procedures and scenarios and performs testing of programs and systems.
Ability to travel nationwide, up to 75% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Entry to five years experience with healthcare organization (hospital, managed care organization, medical group, system vendor)
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
Knowledge of computer tools and systems.
Familiar with software development life cycle.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
