Business Analyst/DA

We are seeking a seasoned business professional with strong data analysis skills and strong technical aptitude and experience.

This position requires a combination of two attributes:

1) A Business Analyst background or equivalent experience.
2) Knowledge of and an aptitude for using data query/manipulation tools, preferably Microsoft tools such as Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access.
3) Has worked on (BA type work) web applications (Java/J2EE).

Responsibilities will include:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in related field (Business or Technology)
• Expertise in the area of data analysis and reporting
• Understanding of relational database concepts
• Experience writing data manipulation scripts using SQL or other query languages
• Experience in working face-to-face with end users in gathering requirements, data mapping
• Solid command of Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel)
• Strong problem solving skills are essential
• Time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Required Skills/Experience:
• A strong business acumen is a key to being successful in the position
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to interact with all levels of management
