Steel Warehouse is a Steel Service Center headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, and our affiliated companies are in tubing and metal fabrication.  Currently we have 19 locations in North America.  With a combination of People, Process, Equipment and Technology, the IT Department has aggressive plans for improvements and deployment of new services in support of our growing businesses.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Steel Warehouse IT Team and take a leadership role in the formal definition of KPIs, and the collection and analysis of data to support them.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct user and executive interviews / workshops to identify and define the business requirements for KPIs and business metrics

· Lead efforts to maximize business intelligence systems

· Analyze existing reports and systems for pertinent data sources

· Develop the business case documentation to support recommendations

· Work with other team members to identify sources of data and target data mapping

· Participate in definition of data warehouse strategies

· Define and build reports and KPI / dashboards aligned to identified needs

Requirements:

· Experience with MS SQL and Oracle databases

· Experience with Actuate would be beneficial

· Experience building Scorecard /dashboard, KPI, and other metric presentation tools

· Ability to organize and lead workshop / JAD sessions

· Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

· Demonstrated business knowledge of manufacturing industry

· Experience with analysis of data warehouse structures

· Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel and/or other analytic tools

· 3+ years experience in business analyst role

· 3+ years of experience in the data warehousing and/or business intelligence projects

 

Position will be based in South Bend, Indiana but will require periodic overnight travel.
