It's just one of the many ways we deliver 'advanced' technology that is 'designed around you' and 'easy to experience'.Philips Multi-Vendor Services seeks a Biomedical Engineer - Level 2 for an on-site opportunity in Birmingham, AL. Your Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:- Servicing a wide variety of biomedical equipment within an assigned location and/or territory.- Identification and resolution of customer issues, providing the customer with the appropriate communication and involving appropriate site service personnel. - Maintaining customer satisfaction is the primary goal. BMET must demonstrate ownership in difficult circumstances and show a sense of urgency about delivering results prioritized by Site Management, the Site Team, or the customer.- Perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change. Adapt to varying needs and requirements of the customer and the business. - Actively participate as a member of empowered work teams. Put the team ahead of individual needs and display a positive attitude. - Work on areas improving customer satisfaction and company profitability. Keep commitments. Willingly embrace change.- Operate under the required knowledge of regulatory requirement (Federal and State Radiation performance standards, registration, Quality Systems Regulations, NFPA, JCAHO, EPA regulations and OSHA regulations). - Adhere to established quality requirements and safety requirements (electrical & radiation safety, safe lifting practices, etc.). - Manage company assets effectively including labor time, parts inventory levels, tools, test equipment calibration, purchase orders, equipment, business expenditures, etc. - Perform all administrative duties in a complete manner within prescribed company policies/guidelines including timesheets, service activity reporting, expense reports, preventative maintenance documentation, and other related paperwork.- May travel to customer sites other than the assigned site, zone office or identified locations.- May be required to adhere to hospital credentialing requirements including but not limited to annual PPD, immunizations, etc. as dictated by site JCAHO policy.- May be required to be available 24 x 7 via phone or pager. - Carry or pull up to 40 lbs. of test equipment. - Lift parts or carry parts weighing a few ounces to over 100 lbs. (assistance available when lifting items over 50 lbs). - Frequently bends, stoops, twists, turns, and works in unusual positions using full body mobility. - May work from ladders or scaffolding, on occasion. - Potential exposure to hazardous physical, chemical, and biological agents. Your Profile: The ideal applicant will possess:-Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent. - 2 or more years of experience performing repairs on sophisticated medical electronic equipment.- Demonstrated proficiency in resolving complex technical problems in biomedical equipment.- Demonstrated customer support skills. - PC competency with knowledge of computer networks.
