Associate Enterprise (IBM Server) Engineer

We are currently searching for a Associate Enterprise (IBM Server) Engineer to join one of our site customer support teams in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  This position reports up through our Cincinnati, Ohio branch, so the ability to work independently is a must.     

Location:  Customer site in Grand Rapids, Michigan (49546 zip) 


Job Summary:  Ability to work independently in SARCOM customers Data Center handling Break-Fix, Installation, De-Installation, Moves, Adds, and Changes for IBM Servers. The position will require 24x7x365 days a year ON-CALL support for Break-Fix failures on servers. In addition to the Break-Fix requirements the successful candidate will need to provide New Server Installation, Imaging, and Basic Configuration of the servers 

Essential Duties:

 

- Able to respond and repair failed IBM Hardware on Servers

- Provide 24x7x365 On-Call Support with a 4hr Fix SLA on servers

- Ability to administer a large inventory of secure parts

- Maintain Server Hardware Assets Serial Numbers

- Ability to lift heavy equipment


Required Qualifications:


-  Current  MCSA Certification

-  Server +


Preferred Qualifications: 

 

-  Hardware/Assembling experience working with IBM Servers

-  Data Center experience Installing and De-Installing Rack Mounted  

 Servers

-  IBM Server Hardware Certified

-  Experience working with Server Hardware Failures

-  Server Imaging and Configuration experience

-  IBM Blade Center Experience
