You will be capable of implementing Microsoft SQL Server solutions for our award-winning family of interactive travel Web products. Our client is market leader that has millions of customers, high visibility and a very large amount of payment transactions; therefore T-SQL is a MUST!!Our client needs people who can help them build database systems that are high-quality, scalable, and high-performance to meet the demands of our rapidly growing E-commerce sites.  Responsibilities: • Transform business requirements into data models (logical, physical). • Create detailed database design specifications for the database design and development. • Performance optimization for a complex OLTP environment. • Troubleshoot problems with database objects. • Provide technical support to application development teams in a timely fashion. • Coordinate and communicate with other WWPD/IT/OPS staff to resolve technical issues ensuring that sufficient information is communicated and that effective mode of communication is selected. • Database modeling skills and experience (Sybase Power designer would be a plus). • Applicant must have solid SQL skills. At least 5-7 years of solid experience with MS SQL Server for Senior Database Developer and 4-5 years experience for Database Developer • Demonstrated knowledge of technical and data architecture concepts and their practical application is required (3nf, star schema, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, indexing, etc.). • Transactional data handling. • Manage multiple deliverables in a highly energized and fast-paced environment within a framework of constantly shifting deadlines and deliverables. Qualifications:• Minimum 4-7 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2000 and 2005) • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field. • Demonstrated experience with all of the following required: Transact-SQL, DTS, SSIS, Replication, Log Shipping (ETL), backup/restore, tuning query performance, using Profiler traces and other performance diagnostic tools.  Technisource, a division of Spherion, is a well-respected, publicly-traded staffing agency.  Technisource specializes in the placements of IT professionals while providing consulting solutions to various high-tech clients.
