Location: Westminster, MA 01441 JobRefCode: Req #022158-AppSupp/QA Analyst Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description    RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the definition, implementation and integration of quality principles and processes into the design and development of software systems. Champions the application of quality principles in IT processes through coaching and mentoring of testers, project team members and business acceptance testing representatives. Recommends or specifies manual and automated testing methods and procedures; develops and employs automated testing methods.  Monitors and reports on defects across multiple project efforts.  Ensures products, applications, and systems are in compliance with established quality standards, best practices for supportable systems, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and meets business requirements.  · Develop and lead QA relationships, gate reviews, test calendar, testing tools, and reporting of defects.· Establish and implement organizational level quality standards utilizing industry best practices within a matrix environment· Work closely with IT teams to support testing strategies and activities.  Guide project managers, development managers, and teams in test design and ensure overall integrity of testing strategy; establishing acceptance test criteria, production readiness reports and system performance testing.· Review test plans and scenarios in order to recommend improvements and the execution of automated testing to ensure adequacy of testing with compliance, system specifications and delivering supportable systems that adequately perform for the business. · Maintain library of test scripts for re-use across projects and as regression testbeds.· Knowledge and application of SDLC, SOX and CMM to QA process.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline· Seven years of hands-on testing experience including knowledge and use of various hardware platforms, relational databases, programming languages, vendor packages – Oracle, Baan, PeopleSoft, .NET· 3 - 5 years of experience leading QA Test teams utilizing and developing structured SDLC Quality Assurance methods; three years of direct experience as a QA Tester leading vendors & contractor resources, on & off-site · Demonstrated hands-on experience developing / enhancing Test Plans, automated testing tools (HP/Mercury), performing volume and regression testing, as well as successful project implementations· Minimal supervision to execute QA mission and improvements to organizational Test workflowPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Master’s degree· Ability to perform Software Configuration Management activities· Experience with alternative lifecycle models; Spiral, Scrum, XP· Experience with IT auditing and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements· CSQA certification, Six Sigma certification(s)This position is local and does not include relocation.Only candidates who possess the above minimum qualifications will be considered.
