Application Security Developer

This individual will be responsible for managing application security efforts as well as implementing, extending, and integrating application security middleware solutions. This includes managing work efforts involving JAVA development work utilizing the API’s of several security middleware tools such as SiteMinder, SoapStation, and RadiantOne. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for managing efforts with development teams on implementing secure coding practices, helping with vulnerability prevention/remediation, and giving security design and architecture consultation.
•Manage day-to-day application security efforts.
•Track progress and ensure commitments are met.
•Provide appropriate direction to the application development teams for implementing secure application solutions.
•Participate in meetings with application teams.
•Works with staff to identify training needs and remove roadblocks.
•Create and communicate secure application development standards and practices.
Experience:
•5-7 Years experience within the field of Application Development or Information Security.
•5-7 years experience providing leadership and managing projects.
•5-7 years experience collaborating with various levels of management.
•3-5 years knowledge of Java associated technologies.
•3-5 years experience with Web Service implementation.
Pluses:
•Property and Casualty Insurance Experience.
•Database Development Experience.
•Secure Coding Knowledge.
•CA Siteminder and LDAP Experience.
•Knowledge and/or practical experience in application security implementation
•.Net Experience and associated technologies
Skills:
•Excellent collaboration.
•Solid communication and written skills.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Solid presentation skills.
•Ability to multitask on a daily basis.
Education:
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
