Analyst Programmer - Robert Bosch LLC

North American Automotive Technology sector saw a sales increase of approximately six percent to $5.5 billion (4.4 billion euros) in 2005. Automotive Technology is Bosch's largest business sector with approximately 14,000 associates. Bosch is the largest automotive supplier in the world in terms of sales, and is one of the leading suppliers in North America.

 

At the Charleston, SC facility, Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline & diesel injection and Anti-lock Braking Systems. We currently have 2200 employees in a team environment and in a three-shift, non-union plant. Facilities are modern and fully air conditioned with state of the art equipment.

 CLASSIFICATION/DESCRIPTION BRIEF:

 

This position will be responsible for creation, modification and improvements of programs as identified by the leadership team for Bosch customers worldwide.  Must have the interpersonal skill and initiative to work directly with customers in order to overcome obstacles and emphatically understand the customers needsShould be able to act without the need for supervisory approvals above and beyond initial directives in order to solve both technical and non-technical problemsMust be able to plan and manage resources to meet timelinesMust be a good team player, work closely with team members to continuously improve manufacturing engineering programs, applications and support methods REQUIREMENTS:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science plus a minimum 4 years experienceExperience working with C#, C++, VB.NET and Microsoft Visual StudioKnowledge and experience with schema and parsing of XML files and interfacing with MS SQL SVRExperience working with SolidWorks API or highly experienced in working with other MS Windows APIPrefer knowledge of 3D CAD systems and basic proficiency of use, you do not need to be an expertProficiency with desktop applications; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VisioLight travel is required in this position PREFERRED:

 Experience using MyITServices (newScale front end / Remedy back end)Understanding of Microsoft Systems AdministrationComfortable giving informational presentations to large groups of peopleSome form of industry certification indicating mastery of certain IT conceptsForeign languages are helpful thought not requiredExperience in a global business environment helpfulExperience and knowledge of manufacturing systems, CAM systems, machine tool technology and engineering change processes would be helpfulMust be able to work the US without sponsorship
