The ideal candidate will apply strong hardware and software systems skills in the development of scripts to automate the everyday processes. These skills will also be needed to perform stress testing of applications and hardware platforms. The candidate should be familiar with automation tools. Candidate will resolve system challenges which require an intimate knowledge of Microsoft system technologies and the ability to work independently and in conjunction with a team of engineers



 

Duties and Responsibilities:


·  Contributes to the development of strategies, policies and best practices through participation in management meetings and other direct contributions.


·  Develop and cultivate strong relationships ensuring IT Operations and IT Architecture are in complete alignment.


·  Maintains awareness of existing or potential System software/hardware situations.


·  Proactively alerts IT Operations of potential problems based upon strong working knowledge of software/hardware compatibility within the Store/Corporate environment.


·  Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements and industry products through professional associations, trade journals.


·  Develops and articulates solutions based on the strategic business or technical requirements ascertained from working with multiple business units across the organization.


·  Supports Project Managers and Support Staff in the design and development of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work.


·  Prepares technical architectural and implementation design documents and works with the Project Manager to develop the Implementation plan.


·  Lead the development of automation tools to support the requirement of the business

Education/Training/Experience:


·  BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.


·  Technical certifications and training appropriate to the technology environment.


·  5+ years of experience in scripting development, design, implementation and support


·  Expert-Level system focused background working with Microsoft


·  Strong Knowledge of Automation tools


·  Strong Knowledge of System Hardware/Software methods and processes.


·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


·  A strong knowledge of WMI, VB and/or Pearl scripting languages necessary with ability to teach others.

Skill Set Required:
Need to have large enterprise experience in the creation of images for multiple HW in desktop, laptops, and blade servers.
Need to have experience working with a standard image process in a tiered or layered image approach. This means images are created in stages, baseline image, enterprise apps, local apps, and finally local profile as an example.
Need to have strong experience using SysPrep utility for image creation. Our client utilizes this tool per MS standards.
Need to have experience with the automation of multiple driver install via a complex script, etc.
Need to have strong HW and SW validation and testing experience.
Need to have strong use of Ghost, or other imaging tool
Need to have experience with a deployment management tool such as Altiris, SMS, etc
Need to have experience working with the MS BDD 2007 model
Image deployment and management using Altiris, SCCM or other major enterprise level imaging solutions.
They need to know how to do hardware detection, driver injection with multi layer support.
We are looking for several years of pure imaging support in a large enterprise environment
