Job Category:Technical Support Services Primary Location:USA-MD: MARYLAND-HANOVERSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Standard Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 2008-09-15Description: ***Immediate Opportunity for TS/SCI w/ FS Poly Cleared Active Directory Developer in Hanover, MD!!!*** Responsibilities will include: Develop documentation necessary for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the customer Directory Services to include: (1) System Administration Model for the customer Active Directory Forest; (2) Customer Active Directory Naming Convention; (3) Group Policy Object (GPO) documentation; (4) Organizational Unit (OU) structure; (5) standard server configurations; and (6) property accountability. Develop policies that govern the operation of the customer Directory and E-Mail Services such as establishing the policy on Active Directory trust relationships with other Active Directory Forests throughout the customer Extended Enterprise and the Intelligence Community. Partner with the developers of standard server loads to develop a load for each type (role) of server needed for the ISP Active Directory Domain and for Exchange 2003. Identify the placement of servers throughout the Extended Enterprise to ensure acceptable response times for customers in the Extended Enterprise (efficient replication). Complete development and documentation of the customer Domain's OU structure, GPOs, Admin Guide, DNS/DHCP infrastructure, Local, Global, and Universal groups and implementation guidance. Integrate services, as identified by the Government, into the Active Directory environment, such as Enterprise Management tools, Security tools (hardware tokens, PKI, etc.), software distribution, identity management, storage solutions (SANs), messaging, etc. Establish backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes and procedures for all projects. Provide Tier 3 support for all Directory and Email services after transitioning systems into operations with T32. Provide Tier 3 support on an as needed basis. Develop documentation necessary for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance. Examples of this type of documentation are: (1) requirements that necessitate the changes to the existing capabilities; (2) source code documentation; (3) standard server configurations; and (4) property accountability, etc. Quickly respond to calls for assistance from Tier 2 level support personnel and partner with them to research and resolve operational problems. When necessary, develop or modify software to resolve operational problems. Essential Job Functions Provides technical expertise for appropriate level distributed systems environments on issues related to servers, local services, data centers, server configuration, and to ensure that client needs are met. Coordinates the efforts of other technical staff members. Provides consulting in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of systems and network management on complex projects to ensure services adhere to client specifications. Investigates and resolves escalated issues within complex distributed systems environments and ensures provision of adequate technical and personnel resources are devoted to solutions. Reviews tests, integrations, maintenance, and solutions of less experienced personnel on larger projects, for appropriateness and accuracy. Provides feedback and advises changes. Communicates, maintains, and establishes principles, directions, and standards related to distributed system environments to meet client and company needs. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Staffs projects with appropriate personnel resources. Organizes and motivates project team members for one or more projects. Ensures communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives. May perform the work of team member as well as lead. Oversees maintenance and supply of appropriate documentation for clients. Reviews and captures architecture plans for complex environments. Oversees the gathering of information used to create documentation, and suggest revisions as appropriate. Interacts with client and other appropriate personnel to determine adequacy and efficiency configuration management, inventory management, and trouble management support provided by less experienced personnel on servers or networks. Oversees and supports periodic maintenance and upgrades of environments. Performs risk and consequence assessment for projects; identifies cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client's interests. Assists client in setting the company distributed computing strategic technology direction based on experience and feedback form users. Assists customers with providing technical feedback.
