Accounting Manager

Job Code: BCD07081026 Job Description:   Overall Responsibility for BCD Denver Accounting site. Completion and coordination of Corporate and Management reporting.  Direct and indirect supervision over a staff of 15, both accountants and transaction processing, to insure that transactions are processed completely and accurately. Responsible for meeting monthly closing and corporate reporting requirements. Responsible for meeting Operational Reporting requirements, including developing reports to meet operational needs.  Responsible for insuring that appropriate controls and procedures exist, are documented and are followed.  Coordinates internal & external examinations of controls & procedures (SOX 404) and of division financial results.  Provide guidance to staff on more complex technical and administrative issues and provide supporting analysis to support Finance Management.   Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting degree plus 5 years relevant work experience. Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.    Preferred Additional Skills: A CPA and 3 years Public Accounting experience is a plus. Revenue Recognition in a software environment (SOP97-2, FAS86 expertise) a strong plus. Proficiency in Excel.
