APPLICATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST
The Applications Support Specialist provides customer support at the Service Desk for BayCare IS customers for clinical applications, including Cerner Millennium, GE ImageCast and designated ancillary systems. The specialist must possess an advanced working knowledge and experience with business units and processes. The Applications Support Specialist will use their practical experience to provide superior and knowledgeable technical support, including advanced diagnosis and complex troubleshooting techniques, to provide timely and accurate resolution primarily for technical issues experienced by customers. The Applications Support Specialist is responsible for recommending process improvements tot he technical support processes and technology solutions in order to maximize their effectiveness in supporting clinical application systems. Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED: High School and 2 years System Administrator OR High School and 3 years Application Support role in IS or Business Unit OR BS Degree in Computer Science or MIS and 1 year IS experience.Specific Skills: required - written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; analytical, decision making and problem solving skills; customer service skills; able to multi-task; computer skill appropriate to position.*Occasional evenings, nights and/or weekends possible.
