Windows Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Windows Engineer for Implementation / Rollout. 

This is an enterprise-level configuration so candidate must have implementation experience -  NOT ADMIN EXPERIENCE

Will be doing some building & deploying of images

Building/Racking of HP & DELL servers

MS Exchange Design & Installation

May also serve as lead in implementations/rollout projects

 

**MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, may be asked to travel to client sites.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·  This Implementation will require the Engineer to have experience with Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008, Exchange 2007 and experience building and racking HP or Dell Servers.

·  This is an Enterprise configuration so we are looking at Engineers that have previous implementation experience and not Administration only experience.

·  The MS resource should have a current MCSE certification with a minimum of 5 years experience.

·  Must be highly proficient in Windows NT, 2000 and 2003. 

·  Strong Exchange design & installation required, SQL and VMware would be a plus.

·  Requires some experience in building & deploying desktop images and individual applications using Altiris or any similar platform.

·  This candidate should be a high end Engineer that complements our Windows server group team.

·  This Candidate should have experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting large complex environments. 

·  He or she can expect to be given projects and be able to complete those with high degree of efficiency. 

·  Candidate must have experience in the following areas: Windows server, Multiple Exchange environment, MS Clustering, NLB,  Veritas Backup (both BackupExec and NetBackup), Group Policy Administration, Autostart, EMC San Solutions.

·  Addition skills we would take into consideration: Blackberry Enterprise, Server, Symantec Enterprise Software, Vault, Bindview, Javalina, CSA, Solaris 8-9-10, and Dameware.

·  Solar Winds, Symantec Sav Ent., Altiris, Citrix expertise would also be a plus (Presentation server) as well as Cisco networking expertise. 

·  Applicants must have good communication skills as they will be interacting with clients in both pre and post sales roles.
