Job Description:

 

Title: Windows Administrator

Experience  5 years +

Location: NY

Roles:  1

 

Essential skills

 

 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in related discipline or equivalent

5+ years of experience in installing, configuring, tuning hosting platform in Windows OS.

3+ years of experience in Open source technology products

Experience in implementing security solution for hosting using at least 2 of the following technology. (SSL on Webserver, SSL on load balancers, Windows based authentication, Web Server level authentication, Single Sign On).

Microsoft Certification (MCSE/MCP)

Strong knowledge of Windows Operating system

Strong product administration knowledge in IIS server (IIS/.NET 1.1, 2.0, 3.5)

Must have a solid troubleshooting approach

Good Knowledge of web hosting infrastructure components like hardware, storage, networking, firewall, Domain Servers, Load balancers

Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills

 

Desirable Skills

 

 Experience with Virtualization technology products

Experience with monitoring tools (Sitescope, HP/Mercury production, Hobbit, etc.)

Experience with web traffic analysis tools ( Webtrends, Omniture, Nettracker, etc.)

Experience using troubleshooting tools for different layers ( Ex: IIS Dump, Windows Debugger, IIS Debug Diag, ADS Util, Http Analyzer)

Good scripting knowledge (Perl, Dos Batch commands, VBS)

Willing to learn new products on the job.
