Thompson Technologies has an immediate need for a Visual Analytics Architect in the Vienna, Virginia area for an exciting International Organization. 

 

Visual Analytics Architect

 

Location:  Vienna, Virginia

 

TERMS: 1 year contract (likely extensions for up to 5 years)

 

U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret clearance required

 



Position Description:

Client requires information technology support for Visual Links software to meet its growing demand to support financially related law enforcement inquiries and investigations, regulatory support, trend analysis, and international efforts to combat financial crimes. This resource will provide the necessary technological support in order to supply tools addressing the increasingly complex tactical and strategic analysis of information reported by the nation’s financial institutions pursuant to the Bank Secrecy Act including Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) data.

 

Candidates must have significant experience in the design, development, and application of link analysis Visual Analytics software, including Visualinks and Digital Information Gateway (DIG), Sybase and database knowledge. 

 

Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of applying Visualinks and DIG to large datasets of comparable size to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) data. 

 

Must have knowledge of the Visualinks suite of tools and the ability to make modifications to the analytic system (analyst’s tools, database, etc) to meet mission priorities.

 

Required Work Experience

 

At least 3 years total work experience as a Visual Analytics Architect/Developer, including the following

· Design, development, and application of link analysis Visual Analytics software, including Visual Links and Digital Information Gateway (DIG), Sybase and database knowledge

· Knowledge of the Visual Links suite of tools and the ability to make modifications to the analytic system (analysts tools, database, etc) to meet mission priorities

· Perform upgrades and patching of Visual Analytics software (including Visual Links and DIG)

· Troubleshoot software performance issues

· Identify application and infrastructure modifications to enhance optimization of performance
