Lucas Systems is currently looking for a Vice President or proven Director of Engineering. This position is a key part of the Lucas senior leadership team and influences all areas of the business.

Position Description


Responsible for the overall leadership of the Software Engineering team Owns strategic planning for application architecture and product features Builds motivated and productive teams Provides people leadership and performance management for Engineering team Participates in solving technical and business issues Manages relationships with contacts at key customers Participates in the sales process

Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of .NET framework and how it is related to web services Experience with SQL Server and database design Familiarity with Smart Client framework and Mobile Computing experience Background in object oriented design Working knowledge of networking Experience with integrating multiple applications History of defining software products or leading teams through the process Background in defining and implementing process for software development Strong experience leading large/matrixed teams Solid understanding of people leadership and performance management Ability to effectively communicate with the VP/CIO levels as well as IT technical implementation teams Solid understanding and interest in the relationship of software development to overall business success Proven track record of driving solid technology solutions that deliver great customer results




Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with C++ and C# languages Knowledge of VB Experience with Voice/Speech recognition technology Exposure to warehousing/distribution Proven track record of working for a small, growing company Background in project and/or product driven environment Experience with supporting software products being sold through partners internationally
