NOTE: We are looking for an exceptionally talented "ETHICAL HACKER". Someone who is experienced in testing system vulnerabilities, both from a hardware AND software perspective (O/S, Firmware etc). See "requirements" section below.
Job Description
The Sensus Metering Systems companies are global world-class providers of water, gas, heat and electric meters including comprehensive metering communications system solutions that comprise both automatic meter reading (AMR) and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) systems.
Sensus Metering Systems seeks to hire a Lead System Test Engineer (LSTE) for the development and implementation of utility metering products involving complex tooling, electronics, software and embedded systems which collectively comprise an end-to-end Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) based metering application. The position will be located in Raleigh, NC and will require a period of a several weeks training with engineering teams in Uniontown, PA and/or Santa Barbara, CA.
Job Responsibilities
As a Verification / Validation System Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
Build the infrastructure for automating the validation environment and test generation tasks as much as practical.Help define, develop and execute test cases for the verification of the Sensus portfolio of meter products and systems.Define and implementing a HALT / HASS processMust understand corner testing of productsWork with the SW and HW organizations to define, develop and deploy joint development processes, configuration management, release, test and support processes and solutions.Assist HW/SW developers with porting, verification, release and supportHave an understanding of dynamic configuration settings, assertions/exception handling and any necessary debug hooks.Exhaustively test the HAL API and perform regression testing on new releases of code and HW. Work with design engineers to debug issues uncovered.Bring HALs up on emulation platforms to be used as a test platform and delivered to the SW team for their use in early SW development. Such emulation platforms, HALs and HW shall all be under configuration management.Work with SW teams in software integration stages to assist in bring-up and debug. Support HW and SW engineers in debugging code issues and isolate/identify both hardware and software issues and assist the design team in debug, problem resolution, verification and release configuration.Log and track defects using industry standard defect tracking tools
Required Skills
Embedded Software and driver experienceSound knowledge of HardwareRTL (Resistor–transistor logic) design, emulation experience Good written and oral communications skills required.Solid experience with Microsoft toolsExcellent validation skills: testplanning, problem solving, debug, adversarial testingC/C++, Tcl/Perl/shell-scripting/Unix or Linux
Education
Must have a minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Technology
