Unix Systems Administrator

PSI Pax Inc is a growing innovative technical services business that provides IT and operational enterprise support to various U.S. government entities.  PSI Pax, Inc. is currently recruiting for a highly motivated Unix Systems Administrator to support one of our DOD clients in Southern Maryland. 

 

Successful candidate must be proficient with Unix and it’s commands and Utilities.  Ability to create robust shell scripts as well as add, delete and modify users.  Will monitor systems and trouble shoot problems.

 

Will be expected to participate in an “on-call� rotation schedule to provide 24/7 support.Overtime and weekend work are not out of the ordinary during peak deliverable times.

 

 

General Experience:  Must have five (5) years of computer experience in at least two (2) of the following disciplines:  systems analysis, systems programming, application programming, or equipment analysis.

 

Specialized Experience:  At least three (3) years of solid on the job experience as a Unix Systems administration or appropriate combination of education and experience.

 

Good attention to details is a must.  Seeking a strong communicator that is able to positively interact with customers and peers of various technical background.  Apache, tomcat  is a plus

 

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a Government-granted security clearance.
