UNIX (AIX) Administrator
We have a direct hire position (full-time salary) open with a customer located in North/North Central New Jersey. If hired for this position, you will have the opportunity to work from your home while traveling throughout Eastern PA, North and Central New Jersey and Long Island, NY (mostly North Jersey and NY). Our customer is seeking a full-time very senior UNIX (AIX) Systems Administrator/Integrator that knows all there is to know about AIX. Must have great communication skills, and be able to confidently give advice on pre-sales calls (10% of your time will be on pre-sales activities, and 90% will be billable to clients located in the areas mentioned above).
Need to know AIX architecture, LPAR, Power VM, Partition Mobility.
Need to be proficient in recommending and providing open systems solutions using AIX, in the following areas: Storage, Intel, Virtualization, Automation.
Write scripts to automate functions.
Candidate will work out of their home, and their territory is: Eastern PA, Central Jersey, Long Island, NY
