Traveling Desktop Support Technician

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Installation/Maintenance/Repair Traveling Desktop Support Technician Must have an Active Secret ClearanceDesktop Support/PC Technician 2-5 years experience--duties will include desktop/ helpdesk support, hardware troubleshooting and repairTroubleshooting and repair of desktops and printers. Re-image hard drive. Resolve printer issues and replaced maintenance kit. Upgrade and optimize hardware. Utilize websites to research existing hardware issues, download drivers, firmware updates, diagnostics tools, and current fixes within manufacture service notes. Document all work-completed cost for parts and labor. Hardware Skills Troubleshoot and repair of Dell, HP/Compaq and IBM desktop & laptop. Troubleshoot and repair of HR/Compaq server & workstation. Troubleshoot and repair of HP, Lexmark printer & plotter. Worked with Manufacture to resolve issues. Upgrade and optimize hardware.Software Skills Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, W2K, XP pro, Server 2000, Server 2003 Microsoft Office 9X, 2000, XP, 2003 Anti-virus McAfee, Symantec, AVG Connectwise, Kaseya, Stars, Heat Required Skills: ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE, ABILITY TO TRAVELJoin TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
