Their advanced technologies are found in mobile phones, printers, optical mice, enterprise storage and servers, and a host of other consumer and commercial applications that are changing how the world communicates. - The system test engineer will be involved in all aspects of design and development of characterization and test solutions for high speed optical transceivers and optoelectronic devices- Developing, designing and implementing test plans and procedures for system level characterization of optoelectronic devices and high speed optical transceivers- Creating software to automate test processes- Selecting, evaluating and purchasing test equipments-Writing detailed test reports and providing regular status on assigned tasks and projects.BSEE/CS; MS or PhD preferred 15+ years of experience in high speed optoelectronics device characterization and testSolid experience with high speed electrical and optical test equipments such as:*Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs) *Oscilloscopes, DCA's *Optical Spectrum Analyzers *Frequency Synthesizers *Expert Knowledge of TWDP, RIN OMA, Stressed Rx Sensitivity, Deterministic/Random Jitter, Spectral Width, OMA, Extinction Ratio, Rise/Fall Times and Eye Mask Margin Measurements *Solid Understanding of IEEE 802.3ae, 8/10G Fiber Channel and SONET/SDH Physical Layer Standards -Solid knowledge of HP VEE, LabView or other test programming software-Proficiency in statistical data analysis is desired and familiarity with related software tools such as JMP is a big plus-Thorough understanding of mixed signal electronics and digital architecture is a plus-Prior exposure to SFP/XFP/QSFP modules or Video applications is a plusExperience with databases and SQL (data storage, retrieval and manipulation) is desired-Strong problem solving, failure analysis and technical presentation skills-The ideal candidate has the ability to balance test throughput with measurement accuracy and improve the overall cost of test metric.
