FOXCONN CNBG Technology Inc. is hiring a Test Engineer for our North West Houston production facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION: Test Engineer 

 

CATEGORY: Exempt

 

JOB FUNCTION:  Develop, modify and maintain all test software/hardware tasks and resources in all programs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EDUCATION:  BSCS/BSEE orMSCS/MSEE (preferred) with relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE:  3 years in software/Test development.

SKILLS:  Involved in development of an overall software system architecture.  Must have good communication skills and interface well with co-workers.  Must have a strong customer service/satisfaction attitude.  Programming experience in C++, Visual Basic, Assembly.  Multi-tiered architecture experience including Lynx OS and UNIX (Solaris), Java, Cisco IOS, VPN. ISDN, Wireless, Firewall and Wide Area Network Design.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Responsible for development of test plans and procedures for design verification and integration.

2.  Monitor test station and response times to detect potential slowdowns or performance bottlenecks before the P/L is affected. Escalate the testing issue to the Supervisor or manager in a timely manner.

3.  In charge of production testing and training of test technicians in test processes.

4.  Support manufacturing test processes for new and sustaining products.

5.  Support OTS order as priority.

6.  Maintain and update Autotest system.

7.  Provide test problem resolution to board/system integration test & feedback to Supervisor & LH accordingly..

8.  Run pilots for new products, monitor test data, provide feedback to Cisco Engineering and upgrade the test processes and procedures as required.

9.  New product introduction to Technician, and training production personnel on test methods.

10.  Investigate and procure test equipment.

11.  Report, review & analyze daily test failure data. Communicate the testing issue with the Production Personnel.

12.  Attend daily production meeting.

13.  Attend weekly DRT meeting.

14.  Overtime as required to complete the tasks.
