Telecommunications Systems Developer
We are a leading provider of business critical data communications services to processors of credit card, debit card and ATM transactions. We are also a leading provider of secure data and voice network services to the global financial services industry. We are currently seeking to add a SS7 Planner to our elite team of technology professionals. In addition to strong technical skills we are also looking for someone with high energy and enthusiasm.
Job Summary:
The qualified applicant will be an integral part of our development staff and will be responsible for maintaining current Telecommunications based systems including developing and supporting Signaling System 7 (SS7) software and implementing new SS7 systems or features for use within the network. We currently have a number of systems developed internally running SS7 and SS7 over IP software. These include; the Signaling Transfer Point (STPs), Service Control Point (SCP), Local Service Management System (LSMS), LIDB Validation and Global Title Translation (GTT) systems, Network Access Controllers, IVRs, SS7 billing collector, etc. There may also be opportunities to participate in the development of other real-time telecommunications systems that may or may not be SS7 capable.
The qualified applicant will adhere to full life-cycle/software development strategies; requirements analysis, development, testing and documentation. They must be able to work independently, show initiative and be a self-starter. Good problem solving capabilities and a thorough understanding of finite state machine processing are a must.
Qualifications:
Mandatory:Applicants should have at least 3 years of recent programming experience in the following areas: C or C++ programming experience SS7 protocol software programming experience (examples: MTP, ISUP, TCAP, SCCP, M3UA, M2PA)Real-time systems and software designFinite state machine programming concepts UNIX software programming in a real-time environmentGood Verbal and written communication skills
Desired:Knowledge of Local Number PortabilitySIP/SIGTRAN programming experienceGood working knowledge of data communications protocols (X.25, TCP/IP, SDLC/HDLC) Familiarity with developing applications in LINUX or UNIX environmentsExperience with CVS/RCSKnowledge of CMIP protocolExcellent trouble shooting skills requiredAbility to work independently
