Technical Support Engineer, (Wireless RF Technology)
Technical Support Engineer
Candidate will focus on the AMR technical support team for Sensus FlexNet installation, training of customers, and system optimization. Additional support required performing integration/implementation on FlexNet RNI server on site customer training and tech support.
NOTE: You will get advanced wireless technology support/troubleshooting experience in this role.
Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science and/or electrical engineering, or combination of direct related work experience.
Experience and Qualifications: 5+ years (1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support) equivalent experience. Knowledge in Linux commands, tools, configuring the network interface, and shell script programming are requirements. Must have knowledge in SQL commands and understanding of writing queries/reporting. Knowledge in TCP/IP networking and understanding of Web/Application Server application are requirements.
Special Abilities: Responsible for providing AMR software/hardware training and technical support for the three main utility markets (electric/gas/water) in North America served by Sensus. Ability to provide telephone support and on site customer commissioning of RNI servers/software components and/or support of both hardware and software products. Ability to provide system monitoring of RNI Servers, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Proficient in MDM (Mobile Device Management) software based systems to provide MDM user training. Requires a self starter caple of taking initiative on all projects. Ability to travel to and from customer sites to perform technical training or support sessions that requires approx 30% travel.
Location: This role could be located anywhere in the US. Prefer: PORTLAND, OR
