Team Leader - IT Consulting

We are on a very rapid growth path this year and have an opening to strengthen our Network Support Services management team.  We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual who will manage a specific group of client network solution needs while leading a team of Network Consultants.  

 

Primary Job Responsibilities include:

- Consulting on various aspects of LAN/WAN administration both on-site and remotely

- Network services consulting which includes client interaction, assessing client needs, and recommending network solutions

- Supervising and leading a small group of Network Consultants
- Managing on-site support of various clients network infrastructure in the DC Metro Area
- Leading assessment and conversion projects
- Developing network and systems documentation as needed
- Providing client user assistance and training as needed

General Requirements Candidates MUST HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED:

- IT consulting experience

- IT assessment, recommendation, and proposal development/input experience

- Supervisory experience in a consulting environment

- Excellent customer service practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employment and technical knowledge bases

- A "can do" attitude and "follow through" approach to situations
- Ability to work individually and in team environments both with ATS and clients

- Favorable results on a Standard Criminal Background Check for employment
- A valid drivers license and transportation to travel amongst multiple client locations in the DC Metro area daily
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for moving computer equipment

Technical Requirements Candidates MUST HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED (Educational and/or Experience):
- Bachelors degree in a related field

- Microsoft 2000 and 2003 Server with Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange or similar product
- Routers and routing protocols
- Firewalls and security concepts

Additional Technical Skills preferred:

- Veritas Backup Exec and/or CA Brightstor ARCServe
- VMware
- SQL Server
- Monitoring software
- Network Security Audits
- Linux

MCSE or progress toward MCSE, plus CCNA preferred.
