Summary Description:

Riverbed Technology is a fast growing technology company with a small but growing  tax department. We are looking for a candidate who can scale with a growing business and lead the compliance and tax accounting functions. There exists tremendous growth opportunity at Riverbed Technology. The candidate will report to the Director of Tax.

Detailed Description of Work:

Handle domestic tax issues with opportunity to work on non-US and global issues.

Responsible for the worldwide quarterly and annual tax provision and oversee the maintenance of major tax accounts in accordance with FAS 109, Fin 48, etc.

Manage the compliance function.

Assist in the implementation of a deferral strategy.

Assist in forecasting ETR.

Handle Federal Audit issues

Requirements:

4+ years of in-house and/or public accounting experience.
In-depth knowledge of accounting pronouncements including FAS 109 and a solid understanding of tax accounting.

Solid Federal experience desired including working with on R&D, 199, and UNICAP issues.
CPA required.

Ability to manage outside advisors and scale in a growing company.

Ability to work in a fast-pace environment.
