Image Stream Medical (ISM) designs, manufactures, and markets visualization and image management solutions for the Operating Room and special procedure clinics. We are seeking a disciplined, results orientated, hands-on and self-driven Systems Test Engineer to test our medical video streaming, capture, and archive products. This is a technical position requiring Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testing and software & hardware configuration skills. The Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for setting up and/or maintaining a networked test lab containing client and server systems and streaming video hardware components utilizing technical expertise in the following areas: computer hardware platforms, networking, multicast streaming video, HD and SD video and performance analysis.

 

In addition, will be responsible for the design, development and execution of acceptance, functional, and regression tests; documenting all issues; working closely with Development, Program Management and Product Marketing to resolve issues; and providing regular status reports on the state of the software.

 

BS and 7+  years experience with test plan creation and execution using problem tracking software for reporting and analysis with a solid understanding of the software and hardware development process. Experience with setting up computer and client networks in workgroup or domain server environments;  strong familiarity with operation, installation and administration of Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista; basic understanding of testing video applications utilizing standards such as MPEG2, H.264, HD/SD, NTSC/PAL, etc..  Must have experience with automated testing tools, testing web-based software applications,  and configuring computer hardware platforms. Strong work ethic, high energy, â€�do what it takes to get the job doneâ€� attitude along with good organizational and communications skills are essential to be successful here.

 

Additional qualifications and experience that would be a plus include: knowledge of FDA verification/validation testing in an FDA regulated environment; familiarity with clinical or Operating Room workflow; knowledge of medical device product development and testing lifecycles.
