Systems Engineer - DoD Clearance Required

Apex Systems looking for persons who have lead small teams (3-5 persons) responsible for well structured deployments in large environments with multiple sites and/or significant experience in day-to-day operations and maintenance of datacenters in large environments.

 

Candidates must be self-starters who have solid troubleshooting abilities and understand configuration management.  Travel is required up to 100% of the time for deployment and support activities in Arizona.  All expenses will be covered.

 

Individuals ultimately will split their time between Mesa, Tucson and Ajo Arizona with most of the time being spent in Tucson and Ajo providing operations support for the systems being deployed.

 

List Key Skills and Qualifications:

·  Hardware and software experience required (at least one out of the group below):

o IBM Blade server installation and management,

o VM Ware ESX configuration and management,

o NetApps Storage with DeCru encryption installation and management

·  Deployment planning and execution experience including

o Creation of step-by-step processes,

o Ability to follow detailed step-by-step procedures,

o Create deployment documentation following processes, templates and requirements as set forth by the project

o A strong sense of coordination/communication and a focus on team success rather than individual visibility.

·  Operations experience - Data center operations experience is strongly preferred

·  Minimum of 8 years experience

·  Strong skills with Windows Server, XP and Linux

·  Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Required Security Clearance:

·  Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance REQUIRED

·  Must be capable of passing Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation  which includes significant financial status review
