Position Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator will be a member of the information technology team and will report to the Manager of IT Operations. Primarily, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing support and management for all IT Operations related applications and hardware, including but not limited to email, anti-virus, VPN, help desk, incident and asset management, Cisco VoIP, and end user systems. This includes personal computers, laptops, voice equipment and the software that runs on these systems. In addition, s/he will also be responsible for:Assisting in the creation and ongoing support of network software, files, and security systems. This includes the creation, deletion and maintenance of all system user accounts and passwords in Active Directory, corporate email system, and related applications and services above.Assisting in LAN/WAN related modifications and changes, including hardware and software issues and ongoing administration of the corporate network. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, inventory, and security measures associated with the company’s voice and data networks. Working with all IT team members to assess and solve company wide IT issues. Providing instruction and guidance to all end users on voice and data related products as needed. Required Experience
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or MIS preferred 3 years of experience with increasing responsibility pertaining to installation and support of Windows XP, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Exchange 2003, Microsoft Office, and Symantec Ghost or similar disk imaging technology is required 1-2 years designing, implementing and maintaining TCP/IP based networkingFamiliarity with Cisco Catalyst Switches, Routers, PIX Firewalls, and Cisco AVVID architecture is highly desirable UNIX/Linux experience would also be a plus Some after hours and weekend work will be required, including participation in the department on call rotation
