System Technician

TechTeam Global, Inc. is a global provider of information technology and business process outsourcing services. We currently have an opening for a System Technician in Hernando, MS.

This is a desk side technical support position that will require an individual to solve customer support issues by visiting the end-user's location. You will be located at the customer's facility providing support in an office or manufacturing environment that will consist of standard PC hardware and software troubleshooting. This position includes continuous walking, bending and lifting equipment sometimes up to 50 lbs, and engaging in physical related duties of connecting computer equipment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Respond to computer related service and trouble calls
• PC (Desktops/Laptops) – Hardware and Software Troubleshooting
• Staging and deployment of standardized systems
• Installation and troubleshooting of peripheral computer hardware
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of customer’s product offerings and support processes
• Follow established processes related to new user account administration and permissions
• Ability to resolve Windows XP Operating System Errors
• Basic Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 2000/2003 Applications
• Understanding of Symantec Virus Scan software
• Remedy Software experience (preferred)
• Customer Infrastructure support
• Proficient in Microsoft Active Directory
• Sarbanes Oxley Policies and Processes
• Maintain compliant on ASAT activities
• Experience with Asset Tracking Software
• Experience with user ID creation

The Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2+ years experience providing desk side support along with troubleshooting hardware, software, and break/fix issues. Someone who is a self-starter, has excellent customer service and strong MS Office skills is a must.
