System Administrator/Network Engineer (SAN Storage)

ITT Intelligence and Information Warfare The Nashua, NH office of IMPACT Science & Technology (IST), a business unit within ITT's Defense Group's Intelligence and Information Warfare (IIW) Value Center (VC) has a new opportunity for a Systems Program Administrator I with demonstrated expertise in SAN Storage. This individual will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining a complex system of diversified equipment, operating systems and applications, including but not limited to SUN Solaris, Windows, Linux, with an emphasis on emerging SAN, RAID, Fiber Channel and Infiniband storage systems and solutions.The Systems Programmer/Administrator I will support and assist the System Architect and Software Developers by:1. Working with a team to research and develop/test/benchmark new SAN and network based storage and communication systems.2. Do market research, hands on testing and be able to communicate through briefings and test reports new and emerging technologies.3. Assist developers and remote users to diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot SAN and storage related issues as they arise.4. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:1. Working knowledge of various hardware configurations and related software to include, but not limited to servers, clusters, SAN, and workstations. 2. Some experience in supporting products in a mix of UNIX and Windows operating system environments from a system level.3. Some experience in setting up, configuring and troubleshooting a SAN environment in a UNIX environment.4. Some experience working in a lab environment performing performance/benchmarking and able to provide technical help and advice to developers in an efficient and timely manner.5. Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and have good organizational and time management skills.6. Good written/documentation and verbal communication skills.7. Must have good team membership and possess good problem resolution skills.8. Strong motivation to learn and determination to get the job done. 9. Knowledge of government security requirements and general security issues is a plus.A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related degree, with 2+ years experience as a Storage Engineer based in Unix and Windows environments is required.This position requires a successful candidate to obtain a top secret security clearance and, therefore, US Citizenship is essential.
