Staff Accountant

HRM Group, Inc., a premier staffing firm, is searching for a Staff Accountant for our client in Van Nuys, VA.  This is a permanent position that pays between $48,000 - $53,000.

Responsibilities:Updates GL account schedules, reviews depreciation records and inputs missing data.Prepares and posts monthly journal entries.Prepares year-end schedules and notes to financial statements including cash flow, borrowing, other property, cost of equipment, disposal and accumulated depreciation (g131).Compiles reports for government agencies and other departments.Performs bank reconciliations on all bank accounts.Processes wage garnishments as stipulated by government documents.Prepares other insurance payments.Depositis miscellaneous cash other than from accounts receivables.performs daily cash management procedures (rotating with other staff).Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Three years general accounting or full charge bookkeeping experience.Bachelors degree in Accounting.Familiarity with Foxpro, Lotus, Microsoft Word, Excel and computerized accounting system.Be detailed and have the ability to work independently on multiple assigned tasks.Good Oral and written communication skills.
