Position Summary
The Sr Test Engineer is responsible for functional as well as systems level testing, including writing, executing and automating detailed test cases. Additional responsibilities include customer "use case" replication, performance testing, stress testing and scale testing. This position will work closely with software developers to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of reported issues.


Qualifications Experience testing software in a variety of environments ( Linux, Windows, Solaris, etc). Experience testing enterprise class software in a variety of environments (Linux, Windows, Solaris, etc) Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or TCL is required Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance Knowledge of storage technologies. Working knowledge of NFS, CIFS/SMB protocols Knowledge of Storage networking mechanisms (NTLM, Kerberos) highly desired Knowledge of networking technologies, with administration and hands-on configuration experience with IP and storage networking required (NIS, Active Directory, LDAP) Proven track record of working with developers to write clear concise test plans Candidate must be a self starter possessing strong debugging and problem solving skills Experience with taking and analyzing protocol traces is required. Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to document concepts, procedures, and results.
