Sr. Product Manager - Shadetree Management Suite

Major Responsibilities:

 

q Define requirements for ShadeTree Management Suite (STMS) product and software releases

q Work with engineering to guide and track progress for delivery of product enhancements

q Deliver customer presentations to assist in pre-sales efforts

q Work with customers to identify integration requirements for their back-office and OSS platforms and own responsibility for doing ECI’s part in ultimately delivering a working solution

q Work with other ECI divisions (Broadband Access and Optical Networking) to align management strategy and define cross-divisional management solutions as applicable

q Main point of contact for defining interface requirements with network/policy management partner companies

q Responsibility for packaging and pricing of the STMS product and components

q  Overall product management ownership of alternative management techniques related to the ST series routers including XML, SNMP MIBs, RADIUS, CLI, etc.

Qualifications:

q Knowledge of network management and networked-computing concepts and protocols (e.g. SMMP, XML, CORBA, Java, RADIUS, etc.)

q Knowledge of service provider management system architectures and solutions

q Familiarity with commonly used network management platforms (e.g. Micromuse/Netcool, HP Openview, InfoVista, Sheer, and other provisioning, fault management, billing, and  inventory systems)

q Strong communication and presentation skills

q Solid understanding of network operators’ applications and workflow

q Bachelors degree

Preferences:

q At least 2 years product management experience

q Hands-on experience and skills with installation and configuration of management system platforms

q Operating system and database experience (Linux, Solaris, Windows, Oracle)

q Solid understanding of IP networking

q Training/educational skills
