JOB TITLE: Sr & Jr Network/Router Engineers/Designers (CISCO & embedded OS expertise preferred) - Active DOD Clearance Required (Secret or higher)

These positions require the candidates to be adept at problem solving, to work in a team environment that designs, tests, installs and maintains secure communications solutions worldwide, often in remote or mobile applications. These are hands-on engineering positions.

APPLICANT CHARACTERISTICS: The applicant must be an individual that is highly technical, extremely flexible with a keen insight into the communications world. The individual will be required to work with a variety of communications technologies, applications, and customers; and be positive and adaptive to rapidly evolving technologies and changes in client and product requirements. The candidate will be required to be an enthusiastic and constructive member of the teams developing products and customer solutions. The applicant will be required to assist with the deployment of solutions at client locations and be enthusiastic when interacting with existing or potential clients. The candidate must also be effective when training and supporting clients with the operation and use of our client's solutions and products. This position is dynamic and requires the candidate to be very flexible in carrying out numerous other tasks as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE and TASKS:Sr position require a very strong experience/knowledge base in network routing. Cisco experience strongly desired. Jr positions require CCNA minimum. Experience with Linus and/or XP embedded devices (routers) and operating systems key for Sr position. Design and implementation of next generation solutions/ network design (Sr position responsible for design and implementation). Research and apply new technologies to design new solutions, reduce costs, improve productivity and network reliability. Ensure that the site network and network management environment is reliable and performance meets predefined service levels. Serve as an escalation point for network issues including backbone routing, customer router configuration and various Internet related services. Develop new designs and documentation to improve current network operating procedures. This is a position for a person who truly enjoys hands-on tasks.


QUALIFICATIONS:Sr position 5+ years of experience that includes network design, hands-on implementation/configuration, and operational support of network devices such as servers, routers, switches and hubs. Security expertise a definite plus.Jr position minimum 2 years Cisco router knowledge/ routing technologies - esp. WAN (Jr. position requires minimum of CCNA). Sr position - prefer experience with Linus and/or XP embedded devices and operating systems (varies by position). Both positions require active DOD Secret clearance minimum. Must be willing to obtain TS clearance

EDUCATION and TRAINING:

Technical Bachelors Degree form an Accredited Institution

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Candidates must have a current Secret (DOD) or higher level clearance to be considered.

TRAVEL: Requires travel as required, including some international travel (25% or less).

COMPENSATION: Base $OPEN: contingent upon education, training, certifications, experience and clearance level.
