Responsibilities

 

Senior Manager, IPG Program Management



This position will be the business partner to IPG’s High-End Systems Business Units leadership team and a member of the Program Management leadership team.  This position will report to the Director of IPG Program Management and lead a global team of Program Managers.  As a working manager, this position will also lead programs and/or initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of skilled program managers.  Create an atmosphere of innovation, collaboration, and community.
• Leader in the identification and development of new services and tools that drive the most efficient, simple practices and processes that are needed to enable employees success.
• Key stakeholder in the growth and evolution of the IPG Program Management organization.
• Coordinate all aspects of program management activities within the business unit based standard IPG practices and business unit requirements.
• Partners and collaborates with the Business Unit Leadership Team to meet the business unit’s goals and objectives.
• Demonstration of an effective risk management process that identifies, assesses, and treats program risks. 
• Development and communication of project reports and metrics that meet the needs of the Business Unit and the IPG Business Group leadership.
• Communicate regularly with Business Unit management on program status.  Escalate major problems or issues.

Requirements:
• B.A. or B.S. in computer science, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 10 years of hands-on high-technology product development experience.
• At least 5 years of people management experience.
• At least 5 years of recent experience in a program or project management role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong experience with budget planning and management is a plus.
• M.A., M.S., or M.B.A. is a plus.
