Sr. GNSS Signal Processing Firmware Engineer MajoDescription: Sr. GNSS Signal Processing Firmware Engineer Major Purpose and Duties: This position requires designing, implementing and testing GNSS signal processing firmware. Requirements: The candidate must have a thorough understanding of one or more GNSS system (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO), GNSS signal structures and GNSS receiver operation. The candidate must also have knowledge of signal acquisition algorithms, code and carrier tracking techniques and the generation of pseudorange and carrier phase measurements. In addition to knowledge in these systems engineering areas, the candidate needs to have highly developed embedded programming skills in order to facilitate efficient implementation of high speed signal processing algorithms.Uses past experience and education to:1) Define and Evaluate Requirements2) Design and Document Functionality3) Lead Team Members to implement GPS Signal Processing algorithms4) Implement functionality in C and C++ as directed5) Resolve Defects in a systematic, persistent and thorough manner6) Make direct technical contributions to the development, maintenance and testing of embedded firmware code bases used in client's GPS receivers and related products Position Specific Duties- Work with Software Engineering teams and other Senior Design Engineers in implementing and testing modifications and extensions to GPS receiver software and related embedded components- Teamwork and communication with cross disciplinary team members to quickly and effectively diagnose and solve system defectsExperience- Must have 10+ years experience in the development of GPS signal processing algorithms and firmware- Must have at least 10+ years professional experience programming real-time embedded C/C++ applications- Must have intimate knowledge of the following GPS System GPS Signal Structures GPS Receiver Operation omsarmaru@hotmail.com Generation of Pseudo-Range and Carrier Phase measurements- Must have Experience with Real Time Operating Systems - Must have knowledge of multi-task or multi-threaded system semanticsLocation: Torrance, CA Type: CONTRACT Duration: 180 - 365 Days Pay Rate: 70.00 - 100.00 Hourly DOE Contact: Volt Computer ServicesVolt Workforce Solutions19191 S.
