Sr FPGA Design Engineer

Overall Purpose of Job:

The FPGA/Verilog Design Engineer will be part of a dynamic, talented and highly motivated team implementing leading edge high performance security devices that reside in very high speed networking environments. The Design Engineer will define system, circuit and PCB requirements for the implementation of FPGAs · He or she will perform design, simulation, and synthesis of FPGAs using High Level Design Language (HDL) and will perform FPGA/ASIC design; synthesis and timing analysis · The Design Engineer will collaborate with bringing up, debugging and integrating the FPGA on the circuit board. · He or she will verify performance against requirements by simulation and testing and will evaluate and test HDL IP for integration into FPGA design.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Experience in development of Network Interface (ATM, SONET, Ethernet) serdes, multiplexers and switcher’s products.

Experience designing, developing and implementing using Cadence, VCS and Synopsis.

Proven ability to do support circuitry design for high-speed digital logic and embedded processors.

Skills and Experience:

Experience in hardware design tools, including schematic capture and analog simulation.

Xilinx and Altera FPGA synthesis and timing analysis experience.

Qualifications and Education:



BSEE with a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-speed CPLD or FPGA design.
